Depending on your diagnosis and treatment plan, our doctors have experience in multiple minimally invasive procedures in order to treat neurovascular diseases such as stroke, aneurysm, and AVM. Our doctors can also perform procedures to address vascular issues anywhere in the body. 

Our procedures are performed in Methodist facilities.

Embolization of intracranial aneurysms

The embolization of aneurysms involves using coils and stents and sometimes balloon technology to block blood flow to the aneurysm to prevent aneurysm rupture which can have potentially fatal effect.

Embolization of vascular malformations of the brain, head, neck, spine, and spinal cord regions including

Arteriovenous malformations (AVMs), arteriovenous fistulas (AVFs), dural arteriovenous fistulas (DAVFs), vein of Galen arteriovenous malformations (VGAMs), and venous/lymphatic malformations.

Tumor embolization

Tumor embolization is a pre-operative procedure performed by our neurointerventional surgeons to stop blood flow to head, neck, spine, and spinal cord tumors endovascularly to prepare patients for tumor removal to decrease complications an blood loss at the time of surgical removal.

Endovascular treatment of hyperacute stroke

Clot retrieval procedures are performed in cases of acute ischemic stroke using clot retrieval devices.

Angioplasty and stent

Carotid artery and intracranial stent procedure are used to treat stenosis that may lead to stroke.
